Vista, the Best Migration Ever
Posted by admin under Technology
Migrating from XP to Vista might be one of my best decision this year. Since the latest XP release, both the XP service pack 1 and 2, I barely couldn’t imagine that this OS made such a big loop and dramatically ending the former classic windows style. Of course, XP indeed make a different, but still, I can see the image of former Windows ME and even Windows 98 on it, since despite the graphic and more stable system that XP offer, this OS didn’t provide a real new interface or enchanting looked along with it.
But in Vista, voila, I got surprised with the dramatic changing. It’s completely fresh and different; in fact I couldn’t see this new version as one of Windows descendant anymore. If you are one of those geeky in graphics, then Vista are built for you. Graphic interface is very smooth and elegant, since it used many glossy and shinny looked. But just graphic is not enough, Windows Vista is also become more secure and stable, consider to the previous XP.
I still can remember very annoying and lousy popup warning and then contunie with the computer freeze that often appear on the last XP. Since I used Vista, I never saw such thing anymore. Although many people out there still doubt about Vista compatibility with many software’s and drivers, but still, I couldn’t let my self to pack my things back and return to the old XP just for reason of incompatibility. I believe this issue will be solved near future, just like the XP did years ago. It’s just a matter of time though.
And the last one, another good reason why I kept my loyalty to Bill’s work of art and his Microsoft was simply because Microsoft is always be the leaders in customer related services. Since the previous XP, I never got any problem to contact their support and asking for assistance, whenever I got any issues on my PC. And now with Vista, I still get the same experiences with their Vista support. Their support staff is available from 10am to 7pm at PST. Feel free to contact them for guidance. Cheers!
