Crappy Article Directories? Not Anymore
Posted by Jane under Computers
I just got my rush hours day last week. One of my client server went down and as technical administrator whose responsible to that server, I should bring it back with no time. Especially that we have been promise to always stay with 99.99% uptime to our client, that accident really pushed me to work hard. It took almost the entire day to me to fix the problems. But still it couldnt be a perfect task to do, I still should let some of the server client went down for quite some time, which is make some of them complaint.
Things that make me on delay is because I didn’t really familiar with the NFS operations, since it is quite difficult to set on it, even if we use the default setting. Basically NFS is designed to resilient an unstable networks. It start become difficult when there is any packets that get dropped, the NFS operation should be retransmit by a very few packets. As default the NFS have 1K block size, which on some kernel has already upgrade by 4K, but still the problem still persist.
Then after I really block out and have no option left to do, I scratch on the internet and looking for any similar situation that I just faced now and hopefully it will completed with the solution also. Then I found “free tutorial @HowTo.fm”. This site is basically an article directory website with lots of useful article from many different categories. After use their search box and looking for NFS problem and solution, I got this article, “What means that NFS operations are hard” which is really helpful and give me some idea to solve my problems.
That was the time when I actually found out that this article directories is quite different than others article directory that I know. Usually a regular article directory is loaded with crappy or junk article that really low in quality. Most of them rarely to touch specific topic like things that I was looked for. There fore some of us may loosing trust and never use article directories to search for a solution. But this experience open my eyes that there is still good and useful article directories out there. I surely will look to their sites regularly to update my knowledge and looking for any others tips that might useful to me. Thats why I think you should also go there and looked for your self. Cheers!
